I read a sweet mom’s instagram caption a few weeks ago where she said she felt “buoyed up by the prayers of all that surrounded her”. I’ve been reflecting on her words and the way that I believe they so perfectly describe the love I feel from those that are thousands of miles away from me. I simply feel buoyed up by the prayers and nights you and your churches and your families have spent interceding for my squad and I.

Here are the ways I have seen the Lord move because of your prayers and love that have buoyed me up.

Guatemala— We raised money for the church we were working with to be able to sustain their churches rent. We saw a woman healed from abuse she experienced in her childhood. We experienced protection from the Lord for my team and I from a local gang nearby. We held events where kids were saved by Jesus and loved by our team. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

Honduras— We literally carried lumber miles uphill and through streams to build a church. We saw a father who struggled with alcohol addiction experience the love of Jesus for the first time. We held a week of VBS where hundreds of kids from rural mountain villages trekked to attend. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

Costa Rica— We held youth events where a young man was freed from years of depression. We played with young children who came from tough home lives and shared the gospel with them. We shared messages of the love of Jesus with the local church. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

Nicaragua— We washed women’s feet after sharing with them the intimacy the Father wants to have with them. We encouraged local missionaries during the holidays. We loved on and played with kiddos who have been raised in unstable homes. We evangelized on the streets to homeless men and women. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

Albania— We had one on one coffee dates with locals and shared the gospel with them. We partnered with a young couple that ministers to youth in the area and attended events with them. We shared our testimonies with local churches and danced with them. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

Romania— We evangelized to gypsy communities and brought them food and clothing. We held youth events and worship nights for the community we were living in. We held mothers and children from Ukraine as they mourned leaving their homes and husbands during war. (We did this because you buoyed us up in prayer).

I share all of this to say that it wasn’t just me. It wasn’t just my team or just my squad. It was truthfully the time you have spent in prayer for us and the power of the Heavenly Father. He is so good y’all. I could go on and on about all of the ways the Lord is moving around me, but you would be here for hours. He really is a wonder working God. Thank you for being a part of this with me.

Thank you so much for investing in this journey with me. Thank you for buoying me up. It means the world to me. Many exciting things ahead as we transition to Africa and then back home. I would love if you all could continue buoying me up in prayer and words of encouragement. See you all so soon.
